The TCI Difference
.
TCI’s 12-Tone System:
The 12-Tone TCI Method is a color analysis system based in color science, accurate interpretation of the Munsell color system, and the science of natural color harmony (No guesswork and no opinions).
Three major aspects of color, hue, value, and chroma, are considered during each client’s color analysis.
Hue: What color undertone does a person have? Yellow (warm), blue (cool), or neutral (a mix of warm and cool)?
Value: Does a person need light, medium, or dark colors?
Chroma: Are bright/saturated colors good for a person or are soft/muted colors best with one’s complexion?
Traditional color analysis focused on only the four true seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. People are categorized as either a Winter and Summer (cool seasons) or Autumn and Spring (warm seasons).
We now know that two out of three people need neither all warm, nor all cool colors to complement their natural color harmony. The TCI Method of personal color analysis includes an additional 8 neutral tonal spaces (cool/neutral and warm/neutral). These new tones are found in between the original 4 seasons.
Altogether, the TCI 12 Tones encompass the full range of colors found in every individual.
TCI’s Standard for Accuracy:
All TCI Personal Color Analysis appointments are conducted in person to ensure accurate results. We use a standardized process with professionally calibrated drapes, full spectrum lighting, and maintain a neutral gray space to ensure nothing alters our results.
TCI’s Amazing Palettes:
TCI’s color palette fans are the largest, most accurate color matching tools in the world. Our fans are made from archival canvas (fine art material) which keeps them from fraying and allows them to stay color fast for 30 years. Each fan consists of 65+ colors that have been specially tested for color accuracy. Each pallet and case are a $95 value (but we think you will find them to be priceless)!
TCI’s Incredible Analysts:
The TCI Community is rooted in the qualities of kindness and integrity. Each person chosen to be a TCI analyst is here to encourage and help our clients and one another in our quest to be the best version of ourselves!
Each TCI Analyst undergoes a detailed training program before becoming certified. The training consists of a small group, in-person training in color theory and hands on learning. In addition, each analyst practices with numerous test clients with oversight and coaching over a 3-month period before submitting a final video.
